Their training program emphasizes communication. First, between the Hedges and the client to set goals for every level of showing. Second, between trainer and horse. They steadily progress each horse by building a solid foundation. They focus on body position, making them comfortable when the horse is doing something correct. Each horse is taught to be accountable for themselves. It could be a green horse or an older show horse, the program is consistent. Patience and steady progression are the cornerstones to creating a well-balanced reining horse.
Horses entrusted to the Hedges are treated with extreme care, as if the horse was their own. The facility they train in was built in 2006, and includes a 100x200 heated indoor arena, a 150x200 outdoor arena, 41 well lit and ventilated stalls, two wash stalls and a large viewing room.
Hedges Reining Horses are known throughout the industry for their humility and unmatched work ethic. They pass an education, foundation and passion for the sport to every client, no matter what the show level. They go above and beyond for every client to ensure the best possible experience.
